This course is intended for people who work in the field of Local Employment and Skills Development Practices. It could, however, be utilised in other related fields as well.

Learners will be able to analyse the Skills Development Legislation and to implement and promote the Legislation in a national, provincial and local context. 

More specifically, the learner will:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the social contexts and values underpinning skills development
2. Promote the legislation that directly or indirectly support skills development
3. Apply the different strategies for implementing the skills development laws
4. Apply the relevant values, laws and strategies in the workplace
